Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship Application

NJAPM DIVERSITY/INCLUSION SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FOR 40-HOUR MEDIATION TRAINING & DIVORCE MEDIATION APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM


Thank you for your interest in the NJAPM Divorce & Family Law and/or Civil Mediation Training. The NJAPM is dedicated to supporting and increasing diversity and inclusion in the field of mediation. In an effort to make our training courses more accessible to underserved communities and promote greater diversity in the field, we will be awarding up to 10 scholarships of $500 per scholarship toward Mediation Training tuition. *There is a limit of one Scholarship per person.

In Addition to the training scholarships, NJAPM has several $500 diversity scholarships available for potential NJAPM Apprentices through our Divorce Mediation Apprenticeship Program. *Candidates from the 40 Hour Divorce Mediation Training course, who were previous scholarship recipients, can apply for this additional scholarship.

To apply for a Scholarship, please complete and submit the online form below.

Please also upload and attach to your application an essay of up to 750 words setting forth

    (a) The historically underserved community which you serve or are a member,

    (b) your personal and/or professional interest in becoming a mediator, and

    (c) your short or long-range goals to help continue supporting and encouraging the growth of diversity and inclusion in the field of mediation.

In addition, please upload and attach your resume or CV.

The Diversity and Inclusion Committee will review all applications after the close of the application process (the applications are processed on a first come first served basis) and notify applicants within two weeks thereafter. (Please check the training page for the appropriate scholarship application deadlines). 

If awarded a scholarship, the applicant will have 10 business days to register for the class. If you do not register for the class within the time frame specified, unless you request a limited extension via email, the award will expire and no longer be available to the applicant.
