Catherine Romania is a partner in the law firm of Witman Stadtmauer, P.A. concentrating her practice in tax, estate planning, estate administration, guardianship, business transactions and mediation. Ms. Romania is admitted in New Jersey and New York, and before the United States District Court of the District of New Jersey, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Tax Court. She is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), serves on the District XA Ethics Committee, is the former chair of the District X Fee Arbitration Committee, and is a member and officer of the Estate Planning Council of Northern New Jersey. Ms. Romania is accredited by the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators (NJAPM) as a Business and Commercial Mediator and is also approved by the New Jersey Superior Court as a mediator for family and civil matters. In addition, she is a member of the Trust, Estate and Elder Law Committee of the Morris County Bar Association, and the Business Law and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Sections of the New Jersey State and American Bar Associations. Ms. Romania has been published the New Jersey Law Journal, lectures for ICLE and other organizations, and is frequently quoted in the Star Ledger's "Biz Brain", "Bamboozled" and "NJMoneyHelp" columns. Ms Romania received her B.S. magna cum laude, from Bucknell University, her J.D. cum laude, from St. John's University School of Law and her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law. |
