Please note that by buying a ticket for the October 5th webinar you are buying all seven of the webinars.

NJAPM’s first annual CLE/CPE webinar series starting in October that will provide CLEs to our attorney members and CPE credits to financial professionals.

The complete list of webinars is shown below. The total cost for the entire series is only $60, which is less than $10 per webinar.  But to make the deal even better, you will receive a $60 credit when you register for the NJAPM’s Annual Conference, which will be held on November 14th.

If you attend all seven webinars and attend the annual conference you would get 13.8 credits.

For members who do not want CLEs or CPEs, the webinars will be free as usual.

This special package is in addition to other webinars and online programs that will be offered without CLEs.

Please note.  After buying the CLE webinar series, YOU MUST STILL REGISTER FOR EACH WEBINAR AS IT IS ANNOUNCED.  This is because the buying the series is handled through NJAPM’s website and registration is handled through the Zoom website.

Completed October 5, 2020:  Alimony and Cohabitation : How to Help Settle Complex Cases

Presenters:  Lawrence Jones, Esq. and Gabrielle Strich, Esq.

Description: Among the most difficult and contentious types of family court issues to resolve are applications to terminate alimony based upon one’s alleged cohabitation with a boyfriend or girlfriend. This seminar is designed to provide mediators and attorneys with practical tips on how to potentially settle cohabitation cases, and additional ways to potentially address related pre judgment and post judgment issues involving spousal support and new dating partners.

Child Support for children over 18/College Contribution

Description:  Discussion on the allocation of college expenses for unemancipated children, what factors should be considered, does the increase in remote learning change the allocation of expenses?

Parenting Schedules: Holidays/Summers and Mid-week Overnights

Description: What factors should inform a workable parenting plan?  How does COVID and other external factors impact parenting plans?  Is 50/50 shared parenting best?

February 1, 2021:  Negotiating from a Position of Strength

Description:  The keys to obtaining excellent negotiating results including complex and emotionally-charged disputes.  Focus will include tips and strategies attorneys and mediators can use to effectively facilitate win-win resolutions

April 5, 2021:  Mediating Divorces Involving Children with Autism/Special Needs

Presenter:  Lawrence Jones, Esq.

Description: April is National Autism Awareness Month.  This program will focus on helping mediators address disputes between separating or divorcing parents who have a child with autism spectrum disorder and special needs.  The seminar will present key considerations which often arise in such situations, including issues potentially affecting custody, parenting time, relocation, special services, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, life insurance, and planning for the child's adulthood.  This presentation will be educationally valuable for all professionals involved family law practice.
