New NJAPM Cultural Competency Program
Part 2 will be on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 (noon-1:45 p.m.). It will focus on civil mediation.
The presenters and descriptions of this program are shown below.
Program Content per Regulation 103:1(k)(4)
The subject matter of the program will include the following components pursuant to Regulation 103:1(k)(4), as amended effective January 1, 2021.
- Cultural Competency in the Practice of Mediation
- Serving a Diverse Population in helping Parties Resolve Legal Disputes
- Focusing on “Equal Access to Justice” by Providing Parties From Different Cultures and Backgrounds With Reasonable Opportunities for Mediation
- Educating Attendees on Potential Implicit and Explicit Bias in Mediation Proceedings
- Considering New Ways to Develop further Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives in the Mediation and Legal Profession
Program Fees
These webinars will be free to NJAPM members who do not want CLE/CPE credits.
For those wanting CLE/CPE credits,this program qualifies for two CLE credits including newly required special cultural competency and diversity/inclusion credits.
